Welcome to Bra Camp!
Escape to the quiet countryside for the weekend and meet fellow sewists while learning how to fit and sew an unpadded, underwire bra at Sew Off the Grid’s sewing studio, inn and restaurant!
You will leave Bra Camp not only with a bra, but also with new skills, knowledge, and friendships!
Accommodations, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on the property is included as well as celebratory champagne at the end of the workshop. Dinner and an optional wine pairing is also offered from the hosts at Cafe Collage at an extra charge on site.
Learn how to sew a bra that fits you!
We know bra making can seem intimating. We intend to change that!
Spend a weekend with Bella and learn how to fit and sew a beautiful underwire lace bra that fits your body and have fun while doing it! You will use the Harriet Bra by Cloth Habit (sizes 28A-42H) to learn everything from bra sizing, material functionality, to understanding fitting and pattern modifications as well as tips and tricks for sewing a clean finished bra.
You will leave Bra Camp not only with a bra, but also with new skills, knowledge, and friendships!
Location and Accomodations:
Sew Off the Grid sewing studio is located in Oregon House, CA, 45 minutes Northwest of Grass Valley.
Workshop Breakdown:
Friday, Feb. 10th from 5pm
Arrive, get settled and meet your fellow Bra Camp campers! Dinner is available until 7:30pm.
Saturday, Feb. 11th, 10am - 6pm
Breakfast.
We will start the day going over all the materials needed to make a bra. Bella will provide sample cups in all sizes that you can try on to make sure you have chosen the correct size. Then you will cut out and put together a bra toile; a test bra to check the fit.
Lunch Break.
Everyone will have the opportunity to have a one-on-one private fitting with Bella. Together we will assess the fit and make the necessary modifications to your paper pattern. You may also assess the fit yourself. Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Sunday, Feb. 10th 10am - 6pm
Breakfast
You will cut out and sew the final bra. Isabella will teach you construction methods for a beautifully finished bra.
Lunch Break.
We will end the workshop with a celebratory champagne toast on a job well done!
Skill Level:
You should know how to work a sewing machine and feel confident in handling small, slippery fabric pieces. Because this is a bra making class you will need to feel comfortable de-robing to a certain degree (not naked!). That being said, this workshop is a safe space and we will do our utmost to make you feel comfortable.

Bra making kit with lace and all required findings and elastics from Tailor Made Shop
1 spool of thread
