In Preparation for Bra Camp:
Before coming to camp you’ll need to purchase the Harriet Bra pattern in your size range and underwires. You will receive written instructions on how to measure and choose the correct bra size and underwire after you’ve signed up. If you don’t wish purchase your underwires before class starts that’s fine, too! You will be able to try on and test different underwire styles and sizes in class, so you know which ones to order after the class is finished.
Saturday, March. 18th, 10am - 6pm
We will start the day going over all the materials needed to make a bra. Bella will provide sample bras in all cup sizes that you can try on to find your correct size. Once your size is determined you will sew a toile of the band to practice sewing techniques and to make sure the band fits properly.
Everyone will have the opportunity to have a one-on-one private fitting with Bella. Together you will assess the fit and make the necessary modifications to your paper pattern. You may also assess the fit on your own. Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Modify the paper pattern.
Sunday, March 19th 10am - 6pm
The day will start with a demonstration on how to cut out the bra so that the lace is mirrored on both cups. The rest of the day will be dedicated to sewing the bra. Bella will teach you construction methods for achieving beautifully finished bra that looks just as good on the inside as it does on the outside!
